Muscat: The Ministry of Interior has announced the seventh package of activities that will be allowed immediately. The Ministry said in a statement: "Based on the approval of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19 , the following activities will be reopened from today (Tuesday):: - ..... Tourist sites (including museums, khat, and forts) - Tourist visa applications -> The opening date for visa applications and the implementation of entry procedures into Oman should be specified shortly. Muscat: Hotels and travel agents have welcomed the Sultanate’s decision to once again issue tourist visas, saying it will provide a needed boost to their businesses, which have been strongly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The decision to resume issuing tourist visas was announced yesterday, by the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19. According to the decision, tourists will be allowed only to come through groups organised by hotels and tourism companies.

The requirements for entering the Sultanate through Oman Airports as featured in the recommendations of the Ministry of Health in coordination with relevant authorities.
Only Omani citizens and residents in possession of a valid residency are permitted to enter the Sultanate without prior approval.
Travelers not in possession of the Omani nationality or a valid Omani residency are required to have an international health insurance that covers the expenses of Covid-19 treatment for the minimal period of 1 month
All Travelers arriving into Oman from any destination will be required to undergo another COVID-19 PCR test after clearing immigration and prior to baggage collection.
Children under the age of 15 are exempt from the PCR test
Travelers must download Tarassud+ and HMushrif applications before arriving into the country and complete their registration through the following link: https://covid19.moh.gov.om/#/traveler-reg
Travelers staying for a period of 1 to 7 days must register to the Tarassud+ app and pay the PCR test fee of 25 Omani Riyals. Then, they need to self-isolate until they receive a negative result of the test, which will be sent via the App within 24 hours.
Travelers staying for more than 7 days must register to Tarassud + application and pay the PCR test fee of 25 Omani Riyals, and they must also remain in quarantine for 14 days while wear the program's tracking bracelet whether the results are negative or positive.
Airplane crew members are exempt from quarantine and they must instead abide by the precautionary measures issued by the Ministry of Health for airplane crew members.
