It is a very complex building both architecturally and acoustically. Opened in 2011, built under the orders of the music-loving Sultan Qaboos, the Royal Opera House Muscat is a mix of tradition and modernity.

The multicoloured stalls are full of handicrafts, spices and incense... not forgetting the halwa, a delicious local sweet that the Omanis love.
